 This stock has soared 10X in the last 5 years. Go to the main story to find out its identity, and whether it can soar some more. ABOUT a week ago, I held a talk titled “How to spot a multi-bagger” for about 400 participants at the auditorium at HDB Hub in Toa Payoh.
I highlighted several of Philip Fisher’s points about the traits of multi-baggers.
Philip Fisher is, of course, the author of Common Stocks and Uncommon Profits, an investment classic that had a big influence on Warren Buffett.
I next spoke about four stocks which I believe have the potential to be multi-baggers in the years ahead. I have written an article based on what I spoke that night.
Read “Go for multi-baggers, and don’t worry yourself sick about the Dow or STI.” |

 THIS 5-YEAR chart reflects a steady business with a diverse range of customers.
It belongs to a Singapore company, not a well-known one, which has become the No.1 in its industry worldwide - Goodpack.
Goodpack owns 1.6 million steel boxes which it leases out to multi-national companies to transport products such as natural rubber and juices around the world.
In its latest half-year results for the period ended Dec ’07, Goodpack reported a 32% jump in both revenue and net profit.
It also announced it had clinched two high-profile clients in China: Sinopec and Sinochem.

 BNP Paribas' target price is $8.60 (compared to its Friday close of $4.41). COSCO CORP (market cap: ~S$13 billion) is a “compelling multi-year investment story,” according to a BNP Paribas report last month.
It said it remained positive on Cosco’s prospects given:
1) aggressive capacity expansion (1.7m DWT to 2.7m DWT by 2010), which should be quickly filled;
2) growth of maritime activity along China’s coasts, as well as a natural feed from Cosco China Group; and
3) recurring asset injections.
Cosco was one of 17 Singapore-listed companies showcased by BNP Paribas during a recent roadshow. For a snapshot of what the broker wrote in its January report, read: BNP Paribas' road show: Stocks to buy |
