股东在年度股东大会上询问宏威科技，关于其正在投资的新太阳能业务的进展情况。

在宏威的主席和首席执行官范继良描述了该业务及其前景之后，股东们提出了许多问题。

范继良说，是的，太阳能制造设备已经安装完毕，目前正在进行测试。

设备由宏威自己生产。宏威是世界上该设备的第二大制造商，它在东莞工厂里进行设备的生产和光盘复制，比如DVD。

随后，该设备在去年12月被运往北方，放置在位于河南的巨大的太阳能工厂里。

“在今年第三季度，我们可以就开始试生产。”

范继良对出席年度股东会议的股东们肯定地说，（会议在Wilkie路Wilkie Edge举办）“我们还必须取得证书，这可能需要六个月的时间。

但这不意味在这段期间内，我们不能销售太阳能电池板。

我们可以将产品销往一些市场和太阳能农场。”

一旦取得了TUV和UL证书，宏威就能够将产品销往欧洲和美国。

一个股东谈到了在年报上展示有太阳能工厂的照片，认为这工厂看起来很大。

范继良说，照片上所展示的只是一个产量为120兆瓦的厂房。

但第一条生产线为40兆瓦。

整个规划的占地面积约为680英亩，将分期建设。

在2013年总产量将达到1,000兆瓦。

“对于这个项目，我想得很多很大，但我们仍需一步一步地去做。”范继良说。

“40兆瓦的产量，这已经是世界级的厂房了。

大多数公司都只有4－5兆瓦，但我们却能做到40兆瓦。因为我们是一家世界级的公司。” 

宏威拥有该太阳能业务90%的股份。

一位本地投资者向公司注入700万美元现金而拥有剩余10%的股份。

投资者的兴趣点

宏威对太阳能业务所采取的策略和它的光盘业务一样：垂直整合。

这意味着，公司制造自已的生产设备，然后生产产品。 

范继良说，已经有投资者有兴趣参与宏威的太阳能业务。

“我们想先使自身在技术、成本及市场方面强大起来。

然后，我们将欢迎投资者，共同将这个项目做大。

现在有很多投资者和我们谈合作，但我总说再等等。”

在被问到关于巴西能源公司有兴趣购买宏威产品的消息。

范继良说，宏威已经签署好了一份备忘录，会制造一条生产线和提供4－5兆瓦的太阳能电池板。

其他各方也表示有兴趣购买生产线。

宏威的太阳能电池板是薄膜类型的，其成本比常规类型的更低。

德意志银行在一份报告中指出，宏威跻身成为全世界四家能够拥有生产薄膜电池板综合系统的顶尖公司之一。

一个股东问到，宏威是否已经确定了买家。

范继良回答：“这个行业的惯例是签订长期备忘录。我们的产品发行计划已安排至2012－2013年。”

产品的销售价格将取决于市场价值。

“如果宏威能够生产高质量的电池板并以合理的价格进行销售。那么我们没有理由不能完成这些备忘录。” 范继良说。

 范继良承认，全球信贷紧缩导致世界各地一些项目的延期。

但太阳能业务的基调是由政府确定的，因为他们希望使用可再生能源。

“管理层相信我们做了一个明智的决定，就是进入太阳能行业。因为它充分利用了我们现有的在光盘业务方面的技术平台。可再生能源是未来的趋势。几百年以后，将不会再有光盘。但几万年以后，我们依然需要能源。”
