I believe Health-care business are resilence in nature. Below listed Health-care stocks for a general comparison:
Cordlife - 68 cents
PE around 15
PB about 2
Revenue growth about 20%. Profit about 50%
Net profit margin = 34%
IHH - $1.335
PE about 70
PB 0.6
Revenue growth - not consistence
Net profit margin = 11%
Pacific Healthcare - 7.5 cents
PE - making lost
PB about 3.5
Growth - Negative
Q & M 32.5 cents
PE more than 30
PB more than 6
Revenue growth about 20%. Profit about 10%
Net profit margin about 10%
Raffles Mediccal $3.15
PE more than 30
PB more than 4
Revenue growth about 10%. Profit about 10%.
Net profit margin less than 20%
CORDLIFE clearly top the lists in term of growth, profit margin & best of all yield. Useing PE as a comparison it's the cheapest.

* Records fourth consecutive quarter of revenue growth, driven by 21% year-on-year rise in number of clint deliveries
* Achieves 192.7% increase in net profit to $5.6 million
* Excluding one-time disposal gain, net profit grew 54.5% to $3.0 million
* Gross margin maintained at strong level of 70%

Cordlife 2Q 2013 revenue increased by 21% to 8.8m.
Profit incresed by 192.7% to 5.6m. Profit excluding disposaal gain of 2.7m will be 3.0m, gain of 54.5%.
Gross margin maintained at 70%.
1H profit = 6.8m & dividend of 1 cts.
Cordlife future looks very promising & a future muti-baggers.

I wouldn't buy even at 49 cents. It's not cheap enuff.
Now at 55 cents = the stock currently trades at 14.0x FY13F PE. Not cheap babe.

Cordlife reported 1Q 2013 of profit of 2.8m an increased of 50.9%. Revenue of 8.2man increased of 13%. Gross margin of 69%. Cordlife have strong balance sheet with net cash position. At 53 cts it's trading at about PE of 10 which is very cheap. |

After it ran up, I stopped tracking this fella. Just happened to check and got a surprise to see Cordlife at 52.5 cents! If it weakens a bit more, I am gonna be a buyer! |

Can't see how China market can be big unless they dismantle the one child policy. eg If the only child has luekemia later in life, the child can't use his own cord cells as they are defective. He still has to pay for healthy stem cells from other donors. This cord cell storage business is more common/established in developed countries. |

Th Chief Executive of Cordlife said "I'm fairly confident that, ultimately, good companies will show their value. Companies with deep value need time." Cordlife had increase in headcount and staff costs of $0.4 milliom in 4Q 2012. Some of these expenses were related to higher capital expenditures to drive business growth. Cordlife had already agree to buy 10% stake in China Cord Blood Corp for US$20.8m. Within the next three to five years, Cordlife c ould also expand into countries such as India, Indonesia and the Philippines. |

I think its good to be conservative for a starter. It leaves room for further upgrades in future when they surpass expectations. I mean, even if an analyst comes out with a 75c target, everyone will just go ' sure a nottttttt..... ' and rubbish the report anyway
so step by step and build creditability slowly is a good thing |
