STI corrected close to 10%.

Looking at

HPHT, yield close to 9%. Yes dividends might rise or fall, but this is 1 blue chip trust. An hong kong equivalent of PSA. Looking to accumulate if price fall further to around 85 cents SGD

Cambrdge REIT, look to accumulate if price fall below 50 cents

UMS,looking to accumulate at 34 cents cum dividends.

Buying back Lippo if it fall below my initial purchase price of 36 cents.

Singpost, singtel, starhub, CMA on my radar too.

WIll be looking only at REITS/ Trusts this time round, speculative s-chip or penny will be off limits until clearer picture emerged.

Cambridge and Lippo has no/ low fiancing needs till 2014, HPHT for its leader position, companies i think i can sleep well with. Well UMS slighly more risky, but weightage super low, so no problem.

The million dollar question, will Greece exit Euro? If it does, will it be a Lehman 2.0 event?

The effects will definitely be bigger than Lehman, given the exposure of spain and other european countries exposure to  Greece. Also governements has not much fiscal and monetary leeway to stimulate economy. 1 key difference, while lehman caught many off guard, many were preparing for Greece exit this time.

Thats' why i increase my cash holding. So instead of just 1 round of accumulating exercise, I can have 2 this year. If after correction of around 20% happens this year, I can still accumulate.

Just my thoughts.

Placement of new shares at 7.5 cents. Net proceeds $9.844 million. Half of that is for 'business expansion in SG & China " -- are they acquiring more GP clinics?

How much the offer to exit? I doubt it would be more than 33 cents.

I doubt it would be less than 26 cents.

Anyone wants to venture a guess?

On Monday May 7, China Animal slipped to close at 21.5 cents, one of the lowest points for a long time. Since then, it has been creeping up. I see it is now up --- at 24 cents. It's swimming upstream when the market is going down, so I will be v surprised if the long-awaited delisting announcement is not made soon. Just a simple guess.

25 cents? Maybe yes, maybe no.

DBS Vickers has issued a buy call already, expecting a recovery in 2H onwards.

Always darkest before dawn

Having disappointed the market and given the continued negative sentiments towards S-Chips in general, we believe its crucial for the company to deliver what they have guided the market during the briefing after the 3Q’12 results briefing where management expects to grow full year ending June’12 profit by 20% and to sustain 15-20% profit growth rate going forward.

• Unfortunately, our BUY recommendation ahead of its 3Q’12 result release did not turn out well with the stock having declined a significant 30+% since.

• But like Sino Grandness which also disappointed the market in 4Q’11 but subsequently delivered with a robust 1Q’12 performance and saw its stock price rebound nicely, if China Minzhong can do the same as guided by management, we believe it is a value buy with the stock at 2.5x PE and 0.5x price to book.

Andrew Vanburen’s  article “ Crying Game “  re investors in China bourses ( biggest  S-Chip  market ? ) is interesting as only 22% made $$.   Didn’t expect the highly educated elite to fail so badly.  Uni Grads @ 19 %  is  below average lol  and   PhD @ 22% ave .  As expected new investors @ only 16 %  while  ” old timers ” are best @ 30%.  If one goes to the casino and make only one bet on red or black , the chance of winning is nearly 50%.  So why do smart ppl  fail so badly in these S-Chips ?

I don’t understand why the CFO is holding the shares in trust for his bosses. Other thing is, what happens when the CFO quits the company or there is a fallout?

China Minzhong Holdings Limited (“Minzhong (BVI)”) is solely owned by the Chief Financial Officer, Siek Wei Ting (100%) of which Siek Wei Ting is holding an aggregate of 100% of the Shares in Minzhong (BVI) on trust for the CEO and Executive Director, Lin Guo Rong (42.86%), Chief Operation Officer, Wang Dazhang (28.57%) and our Chief Technology Officer, Huang Bing Hui (28.57%).

price likely to edge up over next 2 months, waiting for final qtr report. Since it has accumulated net profit of more than 5cts for last 3 qtrs, shareholders shd ask for at least 2cts, based on 40% payout.

the price has certainly stablised over the last 1 week or so. it must have bottomed out. The institutional selling by Hunter Hall must have stopped. There is money to be made in shoe sole manufacturing. I would like to accumulate (not average down) around 7 cents. This is a sepcial situation where the brave and mentally strong investors (with a bit of faith in management) can make huge profits. At 7.2 cents, Qingmei is potentially a 2 bagger, at least.

Just came back from long lunch with fellow investors. Much of the talk revolved around Greece -- the exit from Eurozone is likely. Well, I have a feeling it won't happen. Someone said he is prepared to invest during the market fall that would surely follow a Greek exit.

Hiap Hoe? No one at the table seems to have heard of it, or showed any interest at the sound of the name. Oh well. So it's good to come back and see it at 50 cents -- an oasis of stability and tranquility.

The general offer is subject to Frencken shareholders' approval at EGM.
This is a straight forward great deal for Frencken. See the different PE ratios:

Frencken has a mkt cap of $90m, trades at 21.8x P/E.
Juken has a mkt cap of $41m, trades at 13.2x P/E.

Hope this link helps?  You can check out the different reports and make yr own decisions as analysts are also human. The major shareholders are listed in reports. Also check the SGX to see who are buying/selling.  I don’t follow this stock and not vested. Good luck.

[hisey 16-05-2012]:

1stly, So do u know is there any hse that give a sell call for CMZ??

2ndly, what's the probability that this CMZ may have accounting problems issue??

Shocking, today fell another 7.5 cts to 61.5 cts.

Many people say CMZ and YZJ are the 2 best S-CHIPs listed here, so why CMZ crashed so badly these few days when other much lousier earnings S-chips's share prices were much more reslient??

[hisey 15-05-2012]:

Other much more lousy earnings S-CHIPS such as cosco and yanlord(poor property outlook this year) their share prices also much higher than their 52 week low but this China Minzhong is now below 70 cts very near to it's all-time low of 66.5 cts. 52-week is $1.81

Heard templeton and another fund increased their stakes in this CMZ last mth, is it?

any views?

Thanks Peter to share the info here. I wanted to join but I have no conference call number. Do not share too much comments here. I think some traders will take advantage of your sharing info. Invest it for middle/long time and do not put too much money on one share.

Queuing to buy the warrants is very tricky because you cannot be sure what you can get. But your fixed trading commission cost is there. So if you can collect only 5,000 warrants, for example, this is a big % cost.

Same calculation for the Juken Warrants, just traded at 13 cents.
The Offeror is offering 14 cents.

So for holding 4 months (max), you get 1 divided by 13 = 7.7%.
Annualised, it's 7.7 x 3 = 23%.

Juken has risen to 17.2 cents after the lifting of the trading halt.

Buyers at 17.2 stand to make 0.8 cents for waiting about 4 months (maximum) for the general offer to be made (after an EGM by Frencken the Offeror). The return is 0.8 dividend by 17.2 is 4.65%. On an annualised basis, the return is even higher at 4.65% x 3 = 14%.
